3D metrology: Global markets

The global market for 3D metrology was valued at more than $9.4 billion in 2019 and is forecast to reach almost $15 billion by 2025, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.8% during the forecast period.

3D metrology is the scientific study of physical measurement. However, in looser terms, it is often referred to as the field of precision measurement within industry. Applying 3D metrology means accurately obtaining an object’s geometrical data in three axes (x, y, z).
