An undergraduate student perspective from Winter Workshop and Electronic Materials and Applications 2017
Arriving in sunny Orlando, Fla., for the Electronics Materials and Applications Conference and ACerS Winter Workshop was a welcome break from the snow in State College, Pa., where I am an undergraduate student at Pennsylvania State University.
With little background or research experience in electronic materials, I was excited to learn about topics such as piezoelectric materials and energy harvesting applications at the meeting. EMA plenary speakers did not disappoint—each did an excellent job introducing the area of research and engaging the audience throughout the talks.
