Why cannot ceramists get all the data they need online—easily and with one click? After all, we can find nearly anything online—hotels, airline tickets, stores, services, and everything else. Why is it so difficult to find high-quality ceramic property data online?

To help answer these and similar questions, we recently completed a study for the Department of Defense on the availability of and access to ceramic data and what could be done to improve the situation. Our work focused on three critical questions.
