During the summer of 2015, I was fortunate to have been awarded an East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) fellowship through the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) to conduct research at Yonsei University in South Korea.

My journey to Korea enabled me to conduct cutting-edge research on novel ceramic-based nanocomposites, explore the majestic natural wonders of Korea, and learn about the rich history of the people behind the Miracle on the Han River.
