Many materials undergo heat treatment in production processes. The development potential for technical ceramics and other advanced materials is enormous if we are to meet the demand for more and more novel and optimized products in the market. Manufacturers must compete globally, and they work constantly to improve their products—technically and economically. Increased efficiency of thermal production processes and optimization of heat-treatment equipment is essential. Kilns represent significant capital investments for manufacturers, and the question is how to select the proper kiln for the respective application.
